About Us


Located in Vila Nova de S. Bento, between Serpa and the Spanish border, in the middle of Alentejo, the Miguel  Miguel has a  privileged location witch oferes very favourable conditions to the  production and transformation of the Iberian Pork.

With the best raw material on the market used in the preparation of our products, renovated and expanded facilities equipped with modern and up-to-date technology, we offer our customers safe and superior quality food, respecting the know-how of generations.


Food Safety is fundamental.
We are currently completing the certification renewal process based on a Food Safety system in accordance with the FSSC 22000 standard, recognized by the GFSI.

1997 - Foundation of the Miguel & Miguel Lda.

Dedicated to the manufacture of Sausages, Hams and Preparation of Iberian pork meat, it achieved rapid growth and prominence, factors that allied to the development of a well-prepared productive structure already consolidated in the domestic market.

2009 - Food Safety Certification

Certification obtained by SGS - Sociedade Geral de Superintendência SA for the manufacture of black pork sausages, preparation, processing and freezing of meat and pork products, renewed during 2016, valid until July 2019.

2013 - Remodeling and Expansion of the factory

Remodeling and expansion of the facilities up to 2250 m2 with 3 new sausage and ham dryers, cutting room, processed packaging room, natural curing room for hams and sliced room allowing for the licensing of new production activities by Miguel & Miguel .
